JUST ONE MORE DAY

ZERO

I am taking one more day off. I am feeling better but not great. Everything is finally breaking up in my chest and I've coughed up a few fur balls. The marathon is 18 weeks from Sunday. I have the plan laid out. I feel like because of different things happening that I've restarted my training 4 times. This has got to be it.

My MIL flew home to Cleveland today and Bino went back with her for a few days. She was wonderful to have here for the holidays. She has picked out an area to build about 10 miles from here in an over 55 community. She is so excited. Next week her home in Cleveland will go on the market. For the first time in months this is a little sunshine in the future. We will always miss Dad but we have come to a turning point to go on.

UNDER THE WEATHER

CHRISTMAS EVE: RUN: 45MIN. TREADMILL

This cat expresses exactly how I feel. On Saturday, I developed sneezing, fever, body aches, and sore throat. I tried to ignore it. But it continued and continues to get worse. On Christmas eve, I headed for the gym for spin class but went at the wrong time. So I headed for the treadmill for a 2 hour run that stopped at 45min. I just couldn't do it. I think everything has just caught up with me.

My mother in law is here. I love her to pieces and feel bad that I am under the weather. My hubby has been doing the cooking which he is great at. The best news is that my M-I-L is moving from Cleveland to Illinois. She is there alone since dad passed away on Thanksgiving. She is a wonderful lady and it will be great to have her closer.

I think training is halted for now.

BTN (BETTER THAN NOTHING)

RUN : 30 MIN. / TREADMILL

No matter how ready that you feel you are, the holidays are here befor e you know it. Last night there was a million things to do. Bino had bowling practice for a meet. Hooch was cheerleading at a basketball game. I wanted to run. Thus, I had a sinus headache. But as I always say, "It's okay!".

This morning I got up at 5am to get some laundry done, a short run, clean the house , pack a bag, then catch a 12:50 flight to Ohio. My mother-in law is spending Christmas with us this year since my FIL passed away. SHe has never flown by heself. So we will fly back tomorrow. Chicago is definelty not the airport to try by yourself for the first time. Bino will fly back with her next week.

Training over the next week will be unpredictable but isn't it always over the holiday.

RAMPING IT UP

SPIN : 65 MIN.

The EXTREME (my fav spin instructor) was back tonight after breaking her leg mountain biking. It was so good to have her back. She is so motivating. The focus of tonight class was ramping it up to spring goals and training. What a workouy! She absolutely has the ability to take you to the limit. She wil be doing the coast to coast expedition and the extreme expedittion in Moab in 2007. She is my inspiration and gives me the belief in myself. There is such a high after the hour with her.

Waddling along pumped up.....
