What a nice fall evening. I took Dakota and went out for a nice easy run. I felt great. Tapering is tough but so important.

TREADMILL NIGHT

RUN: ( 40MINS.) 5 W/U-30MIN INTERVALS- 5 C/D

Cool evening but rainy. So I went on the tradmill at the gym. Spent too much time watching everyone else and trying to figure out why they run so much faster for so long. I am really getting excited about the marathon and can't wait. Now that the training is done weather and the outfit becomes a concern.

LOT OF REST THEN A 5K

RUN: 5K /34:30 (pr)

Today was the annual Plainfield 5k. Weather was 70 and 100% humidity. We ran a mile before the start and we were covered with sweat. mile 1 = 11:20 /mile 2 = 11:10/ mile 3= 10:45/ total 34:30. Last year I ran 34:40 so it was a little better. I felt good the entire time and probably could have pushed harder. I left a friend that was in trouble out there- feel bad but her husband was with her.

Need to get in a few miles this week with around a 10 on the weekend. 13 days to go!
