Today , I began my day by not going to the cafteria and getting my favorite doughnut. (you can see a photo of it from 10/3. I felt so good. Then---- the construction guys in our Cancer Center brought us doughnutholes from Krispy Kreme. I resisted. Then a patient brought in 2 boxes of fresh Krispy Kreme doughnuts. I'm still okay. The next patient brought in Homemade Doughtnuts. The next patient a box of Fannie May candy. Ok---I give up. I'll go into sugar rehab next week. It's not happening today.

I have alot of things going on this week. Getting in any training just wasn't happening. It's homecoming week for my kids High School. So we have bonfires and alot of activities going on. On top of that I have more training at work which always stresses me alittle. Then I scheduled the cableguy to come and upgrade some services Weds. After the 3 of them left and said that everything was done -I now have a new cable that needs buried in my back yard. Oh and nothing worked. I called and scheduled them to come back Thurs.
Thurs was the perfect day to get out and train. 70 and sunny. But for me-I spent the day agruing with the cable company and finally got someone to come out late in the day. Everything works now and I got a month of service free but I lost another day. This weekend has alot going on and I hope to get a couple of workouts in.

My downfall right now is the doughnut with White icing and jelly filling.! Phase one was to include weight loss which is just not happening. Every morning I am drawn to the cafeteria and like an addict I have to buy my doughnut.(I do drink diet Mountain Dew with it) I believe if I can overcome this weakness or eat so many they make me puke I'll be better off. I will ween myself to every other day(starting next week) Thanks for listening!

CRT(CARDIO-RESISTANCE TRAINING) : 60 MIN.
I could have went to Yoga class but----- I saw this other group class available. It was tough and it was painful! We used the BOSU and large ball and weights. I enjoyed it much more than yoga and felt like I got a good core workout. I think it's yoga out--CRT in.

BIKE: 10 MILES / MTB / 54:00 / WATERFALL GLEN
Today is October 1 and I am on my way to base building for my spring marathon. I awoke to a perfect morning. The sun was shining and 37 outside. I ran yesterday so today was biking. Waterfall glen presents some nice trails with hills thrown in. I like to go there because it is one of the few places in Chicagoland with any hills at all. I felt good at the end and had challenged myself with the hills.
Monday: 30 min run
Tuesday: 60 min spin
Thursday: 60 min spin
Friday : off
Saturday: 50 min run
Sunday: 54 min bike / trails
