RELAXING CYCLE

CYCLE: 30 MIN./ NO HR OR DISTANCE

It was a beautiful spring day. Sunny and 45-50 . I wanted to do a little something to loosen my legs for tomorrow is m first 5K. Cor and I had a nice ride bu he left me in the dust. I wasn''t in a hurry though.

Goals for Sunday:

  1. Finish th 5k
  2. No injury
  3. Under 35:00(11:17 pace)

THURSDAY TREADMILL

RUN: 40 MIN./ 3.0 MILES/ NO HR/ 10:1

I had to take Lauren to D.E. so I went to the Naperville Club again. It was a better night. No fights in the parking lot. I felt really good on the treadmill. Each section I increased my speed and incline. If it wasn't for the trotts I would have gone farther but-------- nature called. Friday I will rest. Saturday maybe a short bike then Sunday a 5K. Goal under 35:00!

WING IT WEDNESDAY

SPINNING: 1 HR/ AVE HR 136/ MAX 164

Again- flexibility. I think it would be impossible to write a training schedule and follow it. Plan A- run. But it would be good to bike it should be 53. Plan B do a brick 3 mile run /6mile bike. Left work skies getting grey- drops on my windshield. Okay Plan C - spinning with Tony. Lauren has cheer. Final Plan D- spin with Cindy. Got my workout in and it was good.

TERRIBLE TUESDAY RECOVERED

SPINNING: 1HR/ AVE HR 136 / MAX HR 166

Spring- sun and 60. Great day to be outside. Well I had an eye appt. They didn't tell me they were going to dilate my eyes. It was to sunny to go out. Again flexibility in training- I opted for spinning in a dark room . It was a great interval workout with some nice hills. Bad start good finish.

MONDAY MADNESS

Monday's usually suck but this one got really crazy after work. Tonight was Lauren's first driver's ed class 6-8. So we went there. I dropped her off and headed for the gym close to there. I proceeded to get into a disagreement in the parking lot over how I parked- couldn't find my card and talked to a rude person at the desk then could not find a treadmill to run on for 10 mins. I finally got my workout in- was all sweaty and the shower room is under construction. So after I picked up Lauren -we went to Burger King-I earned it!!

WEEK-END WHATEVER

SATURDAY: CYCLE / 1:30 / NO HR OR DISTANCE

SUNDAY : RUN/ TREADMILL/ 5:1/ 1:30 /7.0 MILES/ AVE PACE 13:10/ AVE HR 129


It was one of those weekends in which the weather made it hard to plan. Saturday at 6:30am Cor and I decided to try Virgil's trail. 12.4 miles each way. It was a learning experience. It was grey and 45. Getting 2 bikes on my car took 30 min. Then we got there- I forgot my glove and my hands were cold and sore. Oh also didn't check my tire pressure. after 40 min. the front started going flat. couln't figure out how to fix it so we turned around. Wasn't a great ride for excercise but we learned alot.

Sunday - we had storms heading in so I headed for the treadmill. I felt really good pushed up at the end to 4.7 5min-4.8 5min then 5.0 5 min. I was pleased with the workout. I think since Saturday was easy it helped.

Next Sunday is my first 5k of the year so I need to take it easy the end of the week.
