SPRING SPINNING

SPIN: 60 MIN/ AVE HR 141 / MAX HR 167


With spring comes weather changes, getting outside ,and schedule flexibility. This morning it was 60 but rain on the way so I went spinning today with hopes to run 90 min. tomorrow. It was a good workout with no real recoveries but 15 minute sections. Fast flats and hills. I am working on drilling it into my head to run by TIME not miles. Only 4 weeks until the 5k and I really need to pick it up!!!

TREADMILL THURSDAY

Despite all my thoughts of running outside everything was against me so I headed for the treadmill. I have the trotts so I need to be close to the bathroom/ bad weather/ and Laurens hair appt. I worked out good and I felt fine. Need to concentrate on getting my running tme up.

REFLECTION

ZERO-ILL

being sick in bed all day gave me to really think and plan for the year. I want to wait until next year to do the flying pig with my friend because that is what would make it special. So redo the schedule(always use pencil) Longest run before June 1 will be 8 and need to get out and mix with biking. In May I will do the Law Day Duathalon and the Galena. In June Batavia and ? metlife. Then ???? Schaumburg in July with the SF half. Now I do not feel so divided and I'm ready for the year!!!!!!!!!!!

Mary took us on a good ride. This week was alot easier than last week. Felt good after the finish. I kept the resistance down alittle since I spun last night also. It's time too get some running miles in.

TONY'S TERRIBLE HILLS

Tonight we did 4 hills with Tony. The first one was 25 minutes. It was a really tough workout. Definitely strength training. I notice a huge difference with no excercise for 4 days..

I am working on a new training schedule. I've decided not to do the Flying Pig and do a duathalon instead to prepare foe GAlena. I haven't figured out a good combo. of running and biking. So May and June will be focused on the duathalon then aim for the s.f. half. On the outside watching the LV Marathon.

WONDERFUL TOUR OF OHIO

EXCERCISE: ZERO!!!!!!!!


The whole family returned to Ohio this weekend. Friday we spent with dad- 84th birthday then Saturday to Cleveland for grandma's birthday. I drove about 1,000 miles but it was worth it. This week training really begins. Game on. I have 2 monthes until the pig and 12 weeks until Galena. It is time to be outside . No more wimping out!
