CRAPPY 8-MILER

RUN: 8 MILES/ NO TIME /PIT STOPS(SEVERAL)

Did I mention that I hate to run in the heat??????????????? Huge change in the weather this weekend.
I knew it would be hot so I packed my fuel belt last night. 2 Iced water/2 reg cold and 2 packs of sport beans. Unfortunately on Friday I drank too much Diet MD. That always changes the stomach. I headed out at 615 am -it was already 68 and very humid heading for 90 today. I felt good except for my legs felt very heavy. Still in recovery? I got to 6 and felt really crappy. Some leg pain in the calves. Need calcium? I decided to opt for 8 rather than 10. I still had water so I was not dehydrated. Finished in approx. 2 hours including stops. Then I took my shower and for the first time after I run -I feel asleep for 2 hours. It was just not clicking today.

I know I'm almost 50 but Somehow I need to pick it up alittle and also loose some more weight.

TOUGH THURSDAY

RUN: 3.0- NO TIME

It was a hot ,humid,rainy evening. I wanted to do a brick. I just felt tired all day. I did the run first- 3 miles of very heavy legs. I guess I'm still recovering from the weekend. I want to run 10 on Saturday. It's time to get the miles up. I also wanted to do an interval day during the week. I'll rest again tomorrow-get ready for Saturday.

DISAPPOINTED AND DISGUSTED

WEDS: ZERO

I had the time. I have no excuses. It did rain alittle but I still could have trained. I was thinking of doing 3-4 miles. My legs were tired -I was lazy. No motivation. Disgusted at my weight. I didn't work out bu ate chinese and 4 !!! poptarts. Tomorrow I need to make up alittle. Probably a brick.

ENDURANCE SPINNING

SPIN: 1 HOUR/ AVE HR 141/ MAX 170

Mary did an endurance ride. The hour seemed to take forever. But that's what endurance is like. My legs are still alittle tired but feeling better. Rain is coming in tomorrow so I'll probably take the day off and do a brick on Thurs.(6bike-3 run)

I'm starting to rethink skipping Batavia. I was concerned because the slowest run time was 17:00 for 2 mile and I'll probably be at 22-23. But you know what somebody has to be last. After Batavia I will focus on the SF Half.

MAXED OUT LEGS

RUN: 2miles /no time

I went out today to run 3 miles but my legs felt like lead weights. Remember -listen to your body. I switched to my 2 miler. The weather was perfect 60and sun. I wish I could have gone farther. Still looking at the year ahead and the only thing I know is defintely I have 3 half marathons lined up.

EASY SUNDAY RIDE REFLECTING

BIKE: 25 MIN- 6 MILES

Just wanted to get out today and move my legs. My quads are really sore but in a good way. Yesterday was an awesome experience. It made me think about my training and plan for the year.
Next on my list of races is Batavia duathlon on June 11. By looking at the results I would be last. I think I want to change my training and train for awhile-reset my race schedule.

CHANGES TO TRAINING:

  1. Spin at least once per week
  2. run at least 3 days per week -- 1 long/1 interval/ 1 easy
  3. bike 2 other days- one day being a brick

Tomorrow I want to look at the schedule and replan my races!
