WORKIN' FOR THE WEEKEND

This week at work it has been so busy and I have been anxious for the weekend. The weatherman's forecast is for 60 and sunny. Time for some outside training. Woohoo! I started making plans.

Saturday will start with a run at the prairie with my friend that I have not seen for awhile. She just let me know this week she signed up for Steelhead 70.3 also. After that get cleaned up, off to lunch then wetsuit shopping(now she needs one). I will be glad to have someone to share some laughs with.

The plan for Sunday is to start with swim. Next off for a bike ride. I need to get some hills in to get ready for Galena.

Waddling into the weekend........

WETSUIT TIME

April 1 was a date that was circled on my calendar. This was the date would start to work on getting my wetsuit. I've decided to go shopping on Saturday. I am really nervous about this. Why? I've always dreaded seeing my self in a wetsuit. Another reason-I know nothing about wetsuits. Long sleeve or short sleeve? What brand? The biggest question is _ what is the appropriate attire to look for a wetsuit? This will definitely get interesting. Any information is appreciated.

I did get two workouts in today. In the AM, a 1700 swim workout and in the PM, a 30 min. run.

March Totals:
Run: 6h 51m - 32.49 Mi
Swim: 12h 26m - 18150 M
Strength: 1h 30m
Bike Trainer: 3h 00m
Spinning Class: 4h 35m

Waddling to watch the premier of my favorite show-Hell's Kitchen............

S-S-S-SUNDAY

Swimming was the first "S" for the day. I actually got there alittle early for a change. Coach had the workout board turned around until the last minute. I was worried. It actually was a workout that I enjoyed:
Warm-up : 450
3 x 200
4 x 100 (3:00 intervals)
4 x 50
cooldown- 50
total = 1700

Spinning was next. Class was almost full by the time that I "transitioned" out of tha locker room to upstairs. It was a good workout. I tried to stay in zone 2 mostly with some zone 3.

Shopping was the 3rd and most challenging "S" of the day. I took my daughter and MIL swimsuit shopping. Where do you take a 17 and 71 year old to look for swimsuits? As my friend Moose said, "Forever 21" There was alot of laughing and a good time. But no swimwear bought.

Waddling to my final "S"-sleep...........
