Recently, I have found my focus only on the B2B race in November. The good side to that has been my workouts and intensity has increased. The bad side is that my workouts and intensity has increased which has led to stresses that are unneceesary at this point in my training.

Yesterday for example, I went to the gym for a 3 mile run on the treadmill. I got up late and franticly got to the gym. I realized that if I did the 3 miles getting to work on time would be a challenge. When I started running, it was hard to relax due to being stressed about the time. For the first 10 minutes, my HR was too high and running just sucked. I began walking at a brisk pace. I completed 2 miles and headed to the shower.

My morning at work was very stressful due to a difficult procedure. I was also bothered about my workout and worrying what to do to make up for it. I have really got to relax and learn to enjoy the journey to Iron. I have a long way to go yet. I have a half marathon in May that I am looking forward to with Snips. It's time to reset my sights somewhat and take one day at a time.

WEEK 5 OF 14 (PRE-IM)

LAST WEEK:

  • Lost 1 lb. to make a total of 5 lbs.
  • Worked out 6 of 7 days for 8:00 hrs total
  • Long run of 6 miles done on treadmill.
  • Motivation good-felt stronger.
  • Still drinking too much Diet MD not enough water

This week:

  • Continue long run of 6 miles for February
  • Lose another pound
  • Finalize housing for B2B
