SCOOPIN' POOP

BIKE: ROAD BIKE : 30 MIN./ AVE.SPEED= 13.7MPH

A sure sign of spring at my house is scoopin' poop. Dog poop that is. With 3 dogs, it does seem to pile up quickly. Because of the warm weather all of the snow has melted and it was time. I wonder if 60 minutes of scoopin' counts as cross-training.

The other sign of spring is when I get Silver out and take her for a ride. It was perfect out. At first I was a little nervous to clip in and go. I have fallen over a few times. But it felt great and I loved it.

Waddling to clean up Silver for Spring.......

Moose cleaned up our yard today. He mentioned how much he picked up once. Anytime I have to do it, I pretend I'm a forensic scientist and see what I can "find".

Nice job on getting out! Feels good, huh?

Nice ride! It's good to be outside, huh!

Dog poop. I don't even want to think about it. (fingers in ears -lalalalalallala i can't hear you). I have to clean up after a dog that I don't even have anymore (passed away in Nov) and a new dog. I haven't been on poop patrol since October. it's gonna be scary....good thing we have a big back yard (about a half acre)

Does metaphorical poop count? 'Cause it feels like I've been using the extra-big shovel a lot lately.

My childhood friend always said that spring smelled poopish. All the frozen turds un-thawing. To this day I always think of him on those first few warm days. So, I guess it was kind of a "poopish weekend".

60 min of dog doo? That's a lot of poop! I hope the little gnome that is hiding by your back tire didn't let out any of your air! You know what little rascals they can be! :-)
Glad you had fun!

Nice wheels!

I guess not having to deal with mounds of poop in the spring is yet another reason to love living in California

Reading this, I was reminded of a situation in 1977/78 when we had those horrible snow storms. Our dog pen was very small, and we had two dogs. The snow/poop layers had built up enough so that by early March the dogs were able to get over the fence of the pen without much effort, so my husband and a friend set to work cleaning up the mess. They literally had to take chunks of layers of snow/ice/poop out of the pen and throw it into the guy's truck. By the time they got it halfway cleaned out, the back of his pickup was touching the ground. I'd have to say that was one heavy load!
