SIGN OF SPRING

The temperature came back up to almost 50 today. My evening training called for a 30 min. run. As quickly as I changed into my running clothes when I got home from work, a storm blew in. It was finished in 15 short minutes.

The first thing I noticed was all the earthworms that had come out all over the sidewalks. It brought back a special memory. As a kid I captured as many worms as I could in a jar with dirt in it. I could not get back to the house fast enough to show my mom and dad. My mother raised her voice and told me to immediately made me let all of them go. My dad would chuckled and whisper to me we should take them and go fishing. Good memories make for an effortless run.

Waddling while remembering.............

I don't know what you're talking about...we may only live a few miles from each other but when I went out to run today, the wind was gusting and it was frickin' freezing out. I didn't wear my warm hat and my ears were numb after 30 minutes. Can someone please tell me where the heck is "Spring"?

Those pesky little earthworms...it's hard to dodge them when they're scattered all over the place.

We used to cut worms in half when I was little cause then they become two worms, but now just the thought grosses me out.

A WORM !!!
Spring can't be too far away??

And yes, being near "facilities" is handy when trying out new drinks, etc.

The track I run on always has THOUSANDS of worms on it after a warmup and rain. Its weird! Glad you got your run in. Those darn popup storms!

Egad! I'm a worm-a-phobe and would be driven back to the treadmill if they were everywhere. It totally used to squick me out that the boys would "rescue" worms that were "stranded" by putting them in their pockets and then forgetting about them! More than once they heard me shrieking in the laundry room. I wish I could be cool like your dad! Hope Spring holds on a little tighter and settles in. I can't wait for the flowers! Have a great weekend.

Dads play such a wonderful role, don't they? A wink and a smile and you know you're OK.

And that lasts and lasts.

Hope you are enjoying this nice weekend and getting out!
