THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY

SURVIVED : RUN / WALK 9.5 MILES / 2:30

The Good: I felt much better today. Anxious to get out for a run. I got up early and got a place in the parking lot. When running, pace comfortable at 12:30-13:00. You couldn't ask for a more beautiful day. It was sunny and 65. My lungs felt opend up and sweated the cold out of me. I finished 9.5 miles!

The Bad: After mile 7 -my legs totally bonked. No energy or fuel. I chose a loop route so it was 2.5 miles to the car.

The Ugly: I walked the last 2.5 miles. I'm worried about my half in 2 weeks. Why wasn't I a little smarter after being sick all week? Really ugly -all the stuff I coughed up that was in my chest.

I believe there was more good than anything else about today! Most importantly -I am back to the land of the living and enjoy a beautiful sunrise. No more excuses. Thanks for the well wishes.

Hey, I just found your blog after you left a comment on mine. Don't worry - you'll be alright. The longest run I ever did before my first half Mary was 8 miles, and that was with some walk breaks. Just take it easy and enjoy yourself!
