MY REWARD

THURS: ZERO

I have had the week from hell at work. The training has been intense. Our patient workload has has gone through the roof. How do you tell a cancer patient you're too busy? I can't. I have also a few patients under treatment that have broken through that wall that I try to keep up so that I do not get too close. Last weekend, I worked both days . I also have to go in tomorrow to treat an ICU patient on a ventilator. Last night I really believed that I was at my limit. I just was too exhausted too work out. I may make it to the treadmill tonight. Thus my reward:

THE GARMIN 305 FORERUNNER

I ordered it online tonight and it should be here early next week. I am so psyched. My friend, DD, got the 205 this week and did a workout with it last night and it is so cool. I am the biggest geek ever so I new that I would have to get one. I decided on the 305 because I like the HR monitor in spin class and a few different things it has for biking! After a week that literally sucked, I rewarded myself!

The weekend is approaching quickly and the weather guy predicts a warm-up (to 20). I will run outside on Sunday my long run of 3:30.

Waddling and hoping next week is better...........

I completely understand the high volume workload your job demands. I go with my dad to his chemo treatments and I am continually amazed at the number of people I see there every week. Hopefully you can get outside this weekend. Its pretty sad when 20 is a heatwave!

Nice toy! That will be fun! :)

Sorry you've had such a bad week. Hopefully you're over the hump, though, and it will only continue to get better and better.

Enjoy your run! Jennifer and I are hoping to run outside too.

Your patients are the lucky ones to have a nurse who is there...no matter how exhausted. Thanks for your selflessness.

If you like time and distance, you'll love the Garmin. I got one of the early ones and have had it for over 2 years now...it is a lot of fun.

Congratulations on your Garmin! I think you got the fancy model. Does it have cadence on it for the bike? My family got me the 301 for Christmas and I keep trying to use it but not all that successfully yet...but I keep trying. Will give it a go tomorrow.

I think it would be very hard to work with cancer patients. I don't know how anyone can stop thinking about them when they are not at work.

I hope your new toy gives you a boost.
