LOST IN SPACE
SPIN: 60 MIN. / AVE HR=148 / MAX= 164
Did you ever just go somewhere else in your mind in spin class? Tonight was a great workout but my focus was off. Luckily Mary, the instructor, would notice and say my name and pull me back to earth. Although by the end of class. I felt the misbehaving student whose name was called a million times.
I did manage to get a good workout in.
I checked the weather for this weekend and it is actually-cross your fingers going to be possible to get out for a good long run. I am hoping for 4 hours. I need to get some confidence under my belt for next weekend's half marathon.
Waddling into orbit......

Really like your blog. It inspired me to start one of my own. Of course, I immediately forgot my username and password, which caused a few problems.
(I'm from the Dayton area.)
Sometimes it's OK to drift...maybe you were just MORE focused on your workour than the others...:-)
Good luck on your run! Four hours! Man, you are a stud-muffin!
I drift all the time, but while running. I get some of my major thinking done while I run! Good luck on your 4 hour run!
I'm sure we all have those days. I think it is because we all have a lot on our plates. I hope you get the weather you need for a great long run!
Probably safer to drift off on a spin bike than a regular one! Good luck getting your run in. I'm way behind in my long runs, and the weather here doesn't look like it will cooperate for a while yet!
Good luck with your half this weekend. I'm sure you'll do great! You've been training very hard.
It's OK to drift off every now and then.
It's going to be nice this weekend! YAY! I'm dusting off the jacket and outdoor running gear. Can't wait!!! Have a great long run. :)
I don't think I've ever lost myself in my mind while spinning, I guess spinning is just too hard for me and I need to stay focussed. But it happens when I run. I actually think it is a good thing...
Good luck with your Looooong run this weekend.
The weather is turning...have a wonderful four hours out! That will put you in great shape for the half.
I can't say my mind has ever gone anywhere else in spin class. If only it would! I think that's what they call "flow," when you are one with something. My heart however, has popped out of my chest and flown around the room a few times!
Thanks for the encouragement. I'm aware of the Wright Patt half-marathon, which is how I initially ran into your blog a few days ago. (I was Googling for the temperature in Dayton on Sept 16 2006.) As you know, mid-September temperatures in Ohio can be fairly warm. At the moment, I don't do well with heat, so I'm leaning towards the River Corridor Classic in Dayton in mid-October. I'm really just waiting to see how I do during summer training before making a decision.
