ONE MORE TRY

YOGA : 1 HOUR
I heard there was a very good yoga instructor on Monday nights. I know yoga would be good for me. I have no balance, core strength, or flexibility. I proved that again tonight as you can see in my photo. I loved the instrucotr but that was it. Between looking stupid and falling most of the time, I got a bad headache. That's it. I'm done. Tomorrow I plan to spin then lay low the rest of the week until after the DU. Monday begins the new training plan.
Waddling to take some tylenol..........

I tried yoga once. It was clearly made for someone with WAY more flexibility than myself.

That about sums up my experience with Yoga, too. Of course it is a Zen thing and you are supposed to put your ego aside and work on perfecting the moves but there are only so many hours in the day so I'll stick with what I know, can do, and love.

Ditto with all of the above.
Yet..... from everything I've heard (from supposedly those who know) it is very beneficial and would help us in those endevours that we prefer. But, as 21stcenturymom said there are only so many available hours in my day and I just can't seem to make it a priority. Maybe when I retire.
Ms. Waddler I love your new icon. Is that YOU with the penguin? You certainly don't look 50. Such a cutie. Maybe you should post a less flattering picture of you to make me feel better about how I look at 45. hee hee

I can do Pilates but am not very good at yoga. It turns into a hard workout, and I want to do this stuff for an easy day.

I know nothing of Yoga except it is spelled much like the name of a former New York Yankee catcher :-)

So glad to hear how you are bouncing back and heading for the new DU goal!! What fun with Bino!!!

Great pix...I guess you could use your TONGUE for balance if you were this little critter!
I use yoga as stretching and strengthening moves only....if the class says "OM" once, or burns incense, I am outta there! It's gotta be a workout for me...! (I know, I should not be so competitive!)

I have such difficulty with yoga also. Not only do I wobble and fear pulling something, I get very uncomfortable being in a closed room with a bunch of people. I keep hoping that someday this will click for me but have not found success here yet. I think "baby we were born to run!"
