With all the political hoopla going on with our ******* Governor, this seemed to be a fitting thought. I have seen the Senate seat up for grabs on Ebay!
Seems to be a tradition in Chicagoland. And yet, people keep voting for politicians like that. We don't have it much better here in Michigan, thus the state of our economy and political scene as well. Time for some new blood all around!
66-year young mom of 2 young adults, Grandmother of 4, who is a back-of-the-pack runner and triathlete. Since my return to running at 46, I've completed 2 Chicago marathons, the Flying Pig marathon, 11 half-marathons, 7 duathlons,5 sprint triathlons,1 Olympic, 1 half Iron triathlon, and the 2008 Steelhead (DU). 2009 I did my Iron Distance on Nov 7 at the Beach2Battleship, North Carolina.
10 years away from things, I am now trying to comeback starting with a 5k.

I'm disappointed he didn't go all the way and offer the Senate seat as a timeshare. What a wasted opportunity.
Come on hunny...you do not want to be recongized as a "Potty Mouth" too like Mrs. Blo-go-away-wich do you?
What a sad situation.
"vote early, vote often"...it's a long-standing tradition!!
Boy, what a deal! Not the publicity Illinois wants, eh??

I lived in Chicago for three years -- during the Harold Washington era....
Sort of miss all the hoopla, but we've got plenty of our own here in MN with the Franken/Coleman recount that seems never ending....
