COMPLAINING AGAIN

I am trying not to complain about the weather on every post but it was another brutal day here in Chicagoland. It did warm up since yesterday morning by 33 degrees but that only took it to a temperature of 5 degrees. But today let us add in wind and more snow.

Today, I logged my first brick work out. Because of the resolutions currently at the gym, you need to get to spin 20-30 minutes early to get a cycle. I threw my stuff on a bike and headed for a 15 minute run on the dreadmill. I am actually feeling the beginnings of getting in better shape.

Tomorrow is the beginning of an eight week session in Master's Swim. It is tough currently getting motivated to go jump in a swimming pool with the weather we have been having. (So sorry-complaining again)

Waddling and grumbling on a winter day.............

That is such a cute picture!

Sorry it's so cold there. I know I can't complain much about cold weather being in FL but it is hard to go swimming when it's 40-50 degs and the outdoor pool is unheated. Time to break out the wetsuits ...

Hang in there!!

I hear you on the temps. We had two mornings of 21 below zero-- without the wind chill.

I went to one Master's swim, which starts at 5:30 am)

The walk from the locker room to the pool was mighty chilly!

The water felt good though, and you are right, it is nice to feel a little bit of fitness coming back.

Girl with those temperatures you are allowed to whine. A lot. So let 'er rip!

Yeah for feeing the fitness! That helps so much on those days that are hard to get up and get it done.

Can I just say, "Holy crap! It is 2009. We are doing an Ironman in 2009!"? Just freaking out a little prematurely. I ma better now.

Yeah, the weather is a bummer...and we know it will continue for a couple more months.

I just remind myself as I lay there debating whether to get out of bed or not to go run that if I don't get up, the race will be bad. That seems to be enough.

Your post/pictures on Wednesday are delightful.
Oh yes, let's complain. It is a comfort that many folks are wishing for outdoor running and biking.
Best wishes for your indoor training.
