I knew that It was going to happen. I have heard many stories and read many blogs about this happening. Now it has happened to me sooner than I thought! I had my first IM race day nightmare. I was standing in my wetsuit on Wrightsville Beach ready to begin the swim. I realized that I had forgotten all of my nutrition and drinks. I decided to attempt the race any way depending on the aid stations. It was all so clear. The swim began and off I went. Then I woke up.

I wonder how many of these crazy dream that I have ahead of me.

Waddling to go back to sleep at 3am..............

I think it's part of the IM rite of passage but it doesn't sound fun. I hope you got back to sleep.

True-it is part of the deal but it is a bit early for nightmares. I usually have them near the race! Glad it was a dream though..

If you're anything like me, you'll have many. And bizarre ones, too! But there's a lot of time (and road to cover!) before the race. Hopefully you'll start dreaming about the finish line, too! Those are the best ones... :)

Just so they don't become a reality!

Yay you! Yep, I think I told you about mine where we swam, biked and then thought the 3rd leg was attending a U of K basketball game and didn't realize it until we noticed no other tri peeps were sitting in the stands.

Good times...

You'll be fine, you'll be fine, you'll be fine!

Hopefully you'll start having good IM dreams and not just bad ones. :-)

I'm glad that was a dream! Something like that actually happened to my brother in law!
