THE WEEK IN REVIEW

A very hectic week has left me with not much time to blog. There was alot of ups and downs but feel that the ups won out.

House has had a very tough couple of weeks. His neurostimulator went on the blink 2 weeks ago. For 10 days because the problem was intermittent, it was hard for the Dr. and company rep. to diagnose what was wrong. It was looking like they were going to have to do a major back surgery to replace the stim. by doing a laminectomy and attaching it to his spine. His last xray changed that by showing us that the one lead had come unattached to the control pack in his rump. He does need another surgery but luckily more minor than what we had thought. Whew!

On Thursday, I missed my evening workout. I had a great reason. It was my son, Bino's, 17th birthday. We went out to eat at Mongolian Barbeque. It was alot of fun and laughs.

Speaking of training, I felt like the week went really good. I was most pleased with my swim. I don't know if it my imagination but I feel stronger.

Tomorrow on the schedule was the annual Easter Ride held by Folks on Spokes. We were meeting early and Snips was going to ride Silver. Mother Nature has different plans for us tomorrow. We are still meeting at 630am but will be going to Plan B indoors.

Waddling through week 1..............

happy birthday to bino!

good job getting stronger with the swim

sorry about hubby's issues with that neurostimulator - but glad it is a minor surgery to fix it

hope you had a good ride today - if weather held up.

Hopefully hubby is doing better soon. It makes fitting your training in around all that too more stressful. I'm pretty sure we're going to have some weekend workouts inside over the course of the next several months, more this side of good weather and closer to race date but hopefully good weather all summer. Keep up the good work.

Glad to hear House is doing better. Will continue to keep him in my prayers.
Good job on the training--seems that the weather is as challenging as anything this time of year, but we do what we need to!
Take care and God bless!

Thank goodness the surgery to fix the stim problem is not as major as you thought. Happy Birthday to your son and hope the rain either goes away or it warms up by 20 degress. Rain in 70-80 degrees is kinda nice :-)
