TO MY RUNNING FRIENDS--GOOD LUCK

This is a big weekend for running with the Chicago Marathon and the Nike half marathon.

To my running buddy DeeDee : I know this hasn't been the year you had hoped it would be. But you always get through, look at the positive and learn. I feel so sad that your ITB is bad and you haven't been able to run. Last year, in Chicago you did your first marathon, and what an awesome experience that was. This year on your second marathon- you overcame a spine fracture to run again, put in alot of miles, and you will be at the starting line positive you will finish even if your knee hurts. You will not DNS.(Do Not Start). You will be among the crowd in the rain ,cold and possible snow to set out and overcome the 26.2 miles. I am so proud of you and how far you have come. Good luck!

To Dawn and Roger(cycling friends): Good luck- you guys have been great friends

To Lisa: Your outfit looks great-celebrate the day.

To 21st Century Mom: Good Luck at the Nike Half--you deserve the Bling!!

To Juls: Hope you are doing better and can do the half--but remember your goals.

To everyone running this weekend that I haven't mentioned- enjoy and celebrate life. It can be far to short and you need to grasp the moment!

You have no idea how badly I need some luck. I just ran 3 miles. It's the first running I've done for almost 3 weeks. I have a cold. It was not pretty.

So thank you! I needed that!!
